  Is higher education worth the price? The worthiness of higher education depends on many factors regarding one’s goals and aspirations. Such as career, financial situation, and the institution or program chosen.  Career  Certain professions or industries require a degree to obtain the job or position. In these cases the investment can pay off later in earning potentials. For example, educators with a masters receive a higher pat because of their higher title. Other careers do not require a degree such as performing artists, in this case higher education may not be the path for them.  Skills  Higher education can provide specialized knowledge on skills that are valuable for certain careers. This information is not available in basic schooling. Obtaining this knowledge can help graduates in a competitive job market.   Fast food has been contributing to America’s obesity crisis for decades. The marketing that targets children and entices them with tactics like toys, cartoons, and food they love greatly contributes to the health crisis. However the question lingers: who to blame? Is Fast Food the New Tobacco? Tobacco is a highly addictive substance that was actively promoted by doctors and public figures. Once studies found the harm that was perpetuated by tobacco the world flipped. All of these once positive ads turned to stop the public from smoking. These efforts are still strong in today’s society, but the statistics of those addicted to tobacco and smoking are still high. Once someone starts a bad habit it is hard to stop. Pop Culture affects us all, physically and mentally, whether you want it to or not. Everyone knows what Pop culture is and everyone collectively agrees to follow along with it. This brings the question that society continuously tries to answer: Is Pop Culture good for you? There are many schools of thought on if Pop Culture is more harmful or beneficial for you.
